Our Gridcoin team name was snagged earlier on, and it is now a semi-serious security problem. It wasn't so bad, except we noticed that the user hasn't been active since November 2014... and we would like to be able to administrate the team. :)
I have made a request for a founder change, but that could take up to 60 days, and we're PRETTY sure he's gone. haha.

I was told by the people on the #boinc-it IRC channel to come and request that the team founder be switched to one of our regular operators.

I see that the gridcoin team has been created here just a few months ago, and the founder's computers were connecting to our server very recently. Anyway, if I receive some kind of 'official' request I guess that I can do something. However I don't know how can I recognize it as 'official'.

I would recommend the account be given to customminer or Rob (the creator of Gridcoin), after confirming it is indeed them. I have messaged customminer on IRC about the best method of contact.
I understand what I am requesting, and that it can't be done frivolously... but ours is a concern of being able to remove people from our reward system, and not just BOINC. I have already informed the higher-ups to make a BOINC-wide team to prevent this in the future. :)
