The answer is NO, we didn't solve yet our size/validation problems. I just decided to put more work on the queue for two reasons, gathering more statistics and producing some (hopefully) useful data for the post processing group. Returned workunits will not be validated until we solve the problem we have.

BTW I upgraded the whole system to the the latest snapshot.

Why the applications are not updated?
We give to the server group the latest version of the applications, with the requested changes, the last week, but I don't see them on the server.

Thanks

The app running is version 2, Dec 22. If you have developed a new one you should probably contact the server group again (or install it by yourself...:)

BTW: I'm very curious about the changes you made to fix the 'won't stop' problem... any info about?

If you mean the suspension problem, I think it was already solved in the previous version. There was an implementation detail (rather counterintuitive, imho) that we weren't aware of. That is, a boinc_time_to_checkpoint call, if successful, opens a critical section (incrementing a counter). Even though we surrounded the checkpoint phase with critical sections, there was no boinc_checkpoint_completed. So at each successful checkpoint, the counter was increased twice and decreased once, stucking the application in a neverending critical section and not permitting the boinc client to suspend it.

We developed and give the new version of the application, with the problem of "\n" resolved and a little bug fix, the 28th of December 2013 to the server group!

Updated :)
It will (slowly) go into effect with the new workunits that are being generated.

Ok, i upload all old 0.02 wus, clean the project's folder (over 5gb) and download new app. Firsts wus all errors, but after the download of a new .csv file seems to be ok.
Errors here:
<core_client_version>7.0.28</core_client_version>

The new app needs "old" .csv files??

Every wus need of two files, the one with the data and another that contains the portion of work to be done. If you remove one of this file the application cannot execute. Anyway the stderr that you posted, in particular this part:

Uno o pi argomenti non validi. (0x80000003) - exit code -2147483645 (0x80000003)

and this part:
ERROR: Invalid parameter detected in function (null). File: (null) Line: 0
ERROR: Expression: (null)

I don't recognise as our output, so I guess that the two previous messages are coming from BOINC.
