I have one task which will not upload yet all others are uploading with no problem.
Is there a quick "fix" for this problem or would it be easier if I abort the upload and let someone else process the task?

Have you tried a reboot? Regardless, I have one task that's waiting to upload as well but I assume it's because of the server issues that TN-Grid has been having for quite a while now (problem is at the University, not at the project itself).

I've had this problem a couple of times and the problem seems to be that the file has been uploaded successfully but (probably) the BOINC client hasn't got this message and so keeps trying to upload it. But because it has already been uploaded, the BOINC server gives an error.
I've aborted the transfers.
On the workunit that I just did this on, BOINC then reported it as a completed task, and it is now showing as completed and validated, with credit.
So aborting is probably the best thing to do, especially if you're past the deadline for the task.

Aborting is what I intended but thought, if there was a line-code fix...
Deadline is still days away.
Credits are a thing, but something that are not important to me and something I, unsuccessfully, argued against all those many years ago, when there was the initial discussion of using them.
So, if it is not as you stated, then I hope someone else can process the task and upload it.

I have until the 1st to get a stuck upload to go through before aborting it.
Finished it days ago. Think the retry count is at 27 or something.

I aborted mine and it seems to have given me credit as the only "error" was an "unrelated" project-cancelled task.

There were a lot of tasks in the upload folder with zero size that, for some reasons, were left there in a "strange" state by the NFS file system (the usual storage problem). I deleted them all and this should allow the upload correctly (I tried with one of mines and it worked...)

I don't see any problems in my log, which goes back a week.
And I just uploaded some an hour ago, and 1 1/2 hours before that, etc.
A few more will go in 5 minutes.
