Wasting in the meaning of computing power going somehwere else (or nowhere) instead of being crunching TN-Grid because there are no Wus.

Som users may leave proyect if there is no stable WUs inflow.

No project can guarantee to have WUs all day, every day, year in year out.

I run four projects side by side for exactly this reason, recently three of those projects were out of work at the same time - so be it, I was still crunching with no wasted cycles.

TN-Grid is a small project with limited resources, expect best endeavours rather than perfection.

Do you remember when I said is not good the "no work available" situacion?

Now, plenty of computers asked for work to some other projects and we moved from 60 genes / day to 44 genes / day.

I have seen than in my own machine.

Well, the server limits are obviously a big issue. However, the recent drop of performance here is mainly due to one single user (with an impressive number of hosts) that decided to stop/pause crunching (I don't see him active in other projects...)

On november 16th also start the annual WCG Birthday challenge, which is very popular

By the way in past days i have seen a top of 72 gene/day

Anyone I know? I've been working WCG (Aurum420) so I can keep my eye out for him. Indiana University being in session might be why crims0nparr0t is down to less than half of their peak.

I think there's a flaw in my reasoning, please help me see the light. Sometimes I look at my Tasks and see over 2,000 Validation Pending & growing. I think I should slow down and let that Pending queue clear. Maybe find a level where Pending hovers in the 100 to 200 range. What would be a good Pending queue size to be in stable equilibrium??? Yesterday I pointed a few computers this way and my Pending has gone up from 44 to 111.

Today I see you're expanding H1N1 and I think that's really important so I want to help more. I also see the talk of autoAbs inhibiting proper cytokine regulation. I suspect if there's a way to study the genes involved we'll be doing it soon so I want to help even more.

If you have lots of pc is normal to have many pendig wu. It's usually take 3-4 days to have a stable pending WUs
And some users don't run their pc 24/7

I remember that, with my r5-1600 i have around 70 pendig WUs

By the way your pending credits will be assigned sooner or later. They will not be wasted :)

I wonder if Indiana University got the electric bill and the Red Parrot used the newspaper.

Per server status, `gene_work_generator` is running, but there are 0 "Tasks ready to send". I have 28 CPU cores across several RasPis I just brought up in my mini-cluster that are awaiting work.

Now only 11 cores don't have active tasks. So the generator is definitely running, just not keeping up with requests for work?

Looks like the generator is catching up? There are now 12995 tasks ready to send.

Tasks ready to send 0

I am wondering whether it is a server glitch or a shortage of work.

For that matter, how much progress are we making on the project?
I don't know where we stand, or what they need.
