(Message 3150)
Posted 25 Apr 2023 by Falconet Looks like it's done. The remaining 3 tasks probably belong to the "mouse" batch. |

Posted 22 Apr 2023 by Falconet It's fine. They'll get resent in a few days if they returned within the deadline. Only 89 tasks out there and a few are probably from the "mouse" batches. |

(Message 3117)
Posted 25 Mar 2023 by Falconet I am curious as to how the project currently foresees its future regarding the approaching finalization of the gene expansion of the OneGenE FANTOM-1 set. At the moment we should be finishing up the current work on 31st of March 2023. On the website you do list other data sets currently on hold or on testing. Any chance you could elaborate on the future work envisioned for TN Grid? What about a possible timeline for the continuation of the project? What will happen with the finished work? Are you targeting a publication? Thanks for the update. |

SSE2 AVX FMA ?
(Message 3074)
Posted 4 Feb 2023 by Falconet AVX/FMA do provide a small increase over SSE2. Switching to Linux provides a far larger increase in speed. |

Posted 14 Nov 2022 by Falconet Please give me that task name (ending with 1_0 or 0_0 or similar), maybe I can do something with it. It's this one: 221885_Hs_T099401-SNORD110_wu-289_1668013653381_0 https://gene.disi.unitn.it/test/result.php?resultid=82839024 Thanks. EDIT: Whatever you did, it worked! Thanks! |

Posted 14 Nov 2022 by Falconet I've been able to get the vast majority of my tasks uploaded and reported as well download new ones. One task, however, hasn't been able to upload for several days now and the deadline is later today. Guess I'll keep trying to get it uploaded and reported. |

(Message 2990)
Posted 10 Nov 2022 by Falconet Unfortunately no news about the GPU application, it seems that it's not an easy task, also probably not worthy... Thank you for the information. There are plenty of CPU's out there. Glad to hear about the AMD extension and future plans for gene@home. |

Posted 8 Nov 2022 by Falconet One software technician of the University of Trento will shortly attend a dedicated training course offered by AMD about HIP/ROCm, this will eventually provide us some needed skills in order to develop a GPU application Any update on that application? I'm guessing that you no longer have access to the AMD HPC. Were they useful to your research? |

(Message 2962)
Posted 1 Nov 2022 by Falconet Well, eventually. Talking about Vitis vinifera, the biologists are working on a new gene expression dataset, an improved version of the last one that we plan to expand in the next months. Any news on that? |
