Posted 14 Mar 2017 by Bok On my Centos 7 machine, all tasks were failing until I symlinked in the library it was looking for stderr_txt> ../../projects/gene.disi.unitn.it_test/gene_pcim_v1.02_linux64__sse2: error while loading shared libraries: libbz2.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory In /usr/lib64 [root@dbase4 lib64]# ls -al libbz* lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 15 Jul 17 2016 libbz2.so.1 -> libbz2.so.1.0.6 -rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 68192 Nov 20 2015 libbz2.so.1.0.6 [root@dbase4 lib64]# ln -s libbz2.so.1.0.6 libbz2.so.1.0 Now they work. |

Posted 22 Apr 2014 by Bok I like it. What I'd point out though is that the badges from most projects are fairly small to show up on signatures so you have to see how they scale. 28x28 or 40x40 or something like that. |

Posted 8 Apr 2014 by Bok no proxy at all. This machine is on my local network (192.168.1.*), going through a linux firewall (192.168.1.1) and to my cable modem (75.189.*.* address). I have other windows machines connecting ok via the same route though and they manage ok. perhaps post this to the BOINC dev mailing list? |

Posted 8 Apr 2014 by Bok I got this from Slicker who runs the Collatz project. Perhaps it's relevant here --- There are some config settings that must be set on the server to ignore file upload certificates. <dont_generate_upload_certificates>1</dont_generate_upload_certificates> <ignore_upload_certificates>1</ignore_upload_certificates> If they aren't set on the server, the server will be incompatible with older clients. The BOINC developers broke this a year or two ago but I don't know whether it is a default setting and why, if it is broke, it isn't just hard coded to ignore them. --- I can't actually update to versions 7 on this machine as it needs a higher version of GLIBC than is available. |

Posted 7 Apr 2014 by Bok I'm not entirely sure what is going on either, I see nothing obvious in all the files on the machine. The chip itself is an engineering sample (I7-920) so that's why it appears as GenuineIntel Genuine Intel(R) CPU 000 @ 3.20GHz. It's running CentOS 6, but everything else appears ok. Can I perhaps run one of the tests manually outside of BOINC to see what is going on? |
