I have one file that won't upload with this Error reported by file upload server: can't lock file /storage/boinc/upload//374/220099_Hs_T177967-C7orf62_wu-234_1667147726296_0_0 error, but all other uploads are okay. I first noticed the error about 18 hours ago, and it has been repeated a number of times since then as BOINC retries the upload. Since everything else is uploading okay, it looks like there was some transient problem. Is there any way to correct this, or is it best to abort the task and let someone else run it? Posted 29 Nov 2021 by Paul I've had this problem a couple of times and the problem seems to be that the file has been uploaded successfully but (probably) the BOINC client hasn't got this message and so keeps trying to upload it. But because it has already been uploaded, the BOINC server gives an error. I've aborted the transfers. On the workunit that I just did this on, BOINC then reported it as a completed task, and it is now showing as completed and validated, with credit. So aborting is probably the best thing to do, especially if you're past the deadline for the task. |
