Could you be so kind and have a look at my system 65300, please?
Why do i get only 52 WUs with my 256 Threads?
I'vent any app_config.xml, cc_config.xml or app_info.xml.
I use the school-profil with his default-setting.
Same on system 65301, 65302 and 65303.
Only TN-Grid is running.
Almost certainly because the work generator cannot keep up with the demand.
As I recall, flat out it can generate a few thousand work units per day. At 24/7 your 1,024 threads would process around 8,000 work units. |

Give me a ping, and we will rock it. :)
Tomorrow will be the next 256-Systeme arrive. |

I’m turning green already, my 24 threads pale in comparison :-) |

The helping hand was:
while true; do boinccmd --project http://gene.disi.unitn.it/test/ update ; sleep 122; done
Sorry for that, but now, I'm happy. It's work. :-) |

If i remember correctly, what Valterc said while ago, work generator speed is around 1 gene every 14 minutes
A gene is composed by 294wu (*2 replicants)
So: 1440/14= 102 genes a day. 102*294*2= 59976wu daily
@ p3d-cluster: congratulations for your army. It's impressive to se theese dual EPYC monsters |

Thanks, I couldn’t remember the detailed figures :-) |

Wow, a wonder happened. The Athlon got now 7 additional WUs (for the next 20 days...).
So this means, the project needs a profile to be set for a PC and without a profile only 1 WU per Core is send out?
I think the work generator isn't keeping up with all the hosts requesting tasks? See here.
No, I have 3 PCs running and only 2 of them had the problem over the last 2 weeks, even at the time where the work generator was fine.
And the one PC where I changed the location/profile has now enough work in the buffer.
Then you need to examine your default profile very closely because it is showing non-standard behaviour
I think the problem was the not set priority.
"Nothing" or "--" was interpreted as "0". |
