Could this be the problem? A too much old version of client?

Hi, the 'stderr.txt' that you reported is ok! There is nothing there that says that there was errors.
I guess that the problem is related to the fact that the guys from the 'server' group haven't yet write the validator.

Cheers

Message 60 - Posted: 18 Dec 2013, 8:15:45 UTC - in response to Message 58.

We haven't yet tried our project with different version of the boinc client.
We tried to test our project in different operating system versions (I think that the 'communication' group will update the minimum system requirements soon) and we would exploit the 'pre-opening' to test the project a bit deeper.

Anyway, I don't think that the client version is the problem, as I already answered maybe is the validator that is not working!

Please, let us know if you encounter other problems and thanks for participating! :)

Hi,

Thanks for your information. Validation is working fine.

Following the task Id and WU id(Task: 30720, WU id: 21157) you reported, we couldn't find the results on server. Since the file is not marked as "deleted" yet in database, this means server hasn't received any results from the clients for this WU from this task. Following the link below, it states that "Validation Error" means

Error - Some event occurred to keep the result from finishing properly. This could be due to the user canceling the result, a BOINC error or a science application error

http://www.dslreports.com/faq/15037

Thanks, please post if you have any questions

Regarding this wu, i report the "5-mb-file" but not the corresponding xml file. At the end i will kill the upload.

Got it! For some obscure reasons some of the upload directories where not correctly owned... I hope it's fixed.

I just attached a Linux x64 computer to the project, in order to replicate this problem. Now it seems that I fixed it. A reset / detach may be necessary (I did it and it worked)
